Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION g95-03-057 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND <br />SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT g95-11 (CONSTRUCTION OF URANIUM STREET <br />N.W. AND MCKINLEY STREET N.W. AND THE EXTENSION OF SANITARY <br />SEWER AND MUNICIPAL WATER SERVICES) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared contract documents and specifications for the <br />construction of Uranium Street N.W. and McKinley Street N.W. and the extension of sanitary <br />sewer and municipal water services and has presented such contract documents and specifications <br />to the Council for approval. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That such contract documents and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and <br />made a part hereof, are hereby approved. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and <br />in the Construction Bulletin, an advertisement for bids upon the making of such <br />improvement under such approved contract documents and specifications. The <br />advertisement shall be published for 21 days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state <br />that bids will be received by the City Administrator until 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday May 2, <br />1995 at which time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the Ramsey <br />Municipal Center by the City Engineer, will then be tabulated, and will be considered by <br />the Ramsey City Council at 7:00 p.m. on May 9, 1995 in the Council Chambers. Any <br />bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an <br />opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be <br />considered unless sealed and filed with the City Administrator and accompanied by a cash <br />deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City of Ramsey for five <br />(5) percent of the amount of such bid. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Beahen and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin <br />Couneilmember Zimmerman <br />Councilmember Beahen <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Peterson <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Resolution #95-03-057 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
