Councilmember Pete~son introduced the following resolution and moved for its Moption; RESOLUTION #95-04-080 RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR FLOOR WORK AT 14100 JASPAR STREET N.W. (PUBLIC WORKS FACILITY) WHEREAS, on August 31, 1994, the City of Ramsey purchased the property located at 14100 Jasper Street N.W. for the purpose of a public works facility; and WHEREAS, the Finance Committee approved, at their September 12, 1994 meeting, a remodeling budget for the cement structure located on the site, for doors, floors, HVAC/air exchange, roofing, electrical, landscaping and paving; and WHEREAS, the City Council, on September 12, 1994, ratified the Finance Committee's budget approval, with not-to-exceed mounts, to be done pursuant to the Minnesota bid law; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the Minnesota bid law, bids were advertised for the removal and installation of cement flooring and the following bids were received: Bendiske Concrete and Masonry CR Concrete Metro Masonry ADB Construction, Inc. Mid Minnesota Concrete Excavating $50,965 $34,00O $36,695 $4O,900 $32,800 AND WHEREAS, Mid Minnesota Concrete Excavating is the lowest bidder. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to enter into an agreement with Mid Minnesota Concrete Excavating in the name of the City of Ramsey for the removal and installation of concrete flooring at 14100 Jaspar Street N.W. in the amount of $32,800, contingent upon verification of references. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Beyer and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Hardin Councilmember Peterson Councilmember Beyer Councilmember Beahen Councilmember Zimmerman and the following voted against the same: None and the following abstained: None and the following were absent: None
