Councilmember Beyer introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #95-04-082 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING BUDGET AMENDMENT ALLOCATING FROM THE COUNCIL CONTINGENCY TO JOIN THE NORTH MAYORS ASSOCIATION FOR 1995 $3,565 METRO WHEREAS, at the City Council meeting on April 25, 1995, the issue of membership in the North Metro Mayors Association was discussed; and WHEREAS, funding for membership in this organization was not included in the 1995 Adopted General Fund Budget; and WHEREAS, the 1995 annual fees for membership would have been $5,348 had the City joined in January, 1995; and WHEREAS, North Metro Mayors Association has agreed to prorate Ramsey's 1995 membership fee beginning with April to an amount of $3,565.00; and WHEREAS, included in the 1995 Annual General Fund Budget is the Council Contingency Fund that can be allocated by Council action; and WHEREAS, it was determined that membership in this organization was of benefit to the City of Ramsey. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, that the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes a budget amendment allocating $3,565.00 from the Council Contingency Fund to Mayor and Council memberships for joining the North Me~o Mayors Association for 1995. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Hardin Councilmember Beyer Couneilmember Zimmerman Couneilmember Beahen Couneilmember Peterson and the following voted against the same: None and the following abstained: None and the following were absent: None
