Councilmember Beahen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #95-05-099 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE <br />CITY-WIDE CURBSIDE RECYCLING PROGRAM TO ACE SOLID WASTE, <br />INC. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council approved and authorized the advertisement for bids for the <br />City-Wide Curbside Recycling Program at their February 14,1995 meeting; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey is required, under the SCORE legislation, to provide <br />curbside recycling service to all City residents; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to advertisement for bids regarding the City-Wide Curbside <br />Recycling, the City has received the following bids: <br /> <br />Bidder Year 1 Year 2 <br /> <br />Walters Recycling and Repair Service <br /> <br />$2.52 $2.58 <br /> <br />ACE Solid Waste, Inc. $1.27 $1.27 <br /> Additional Material: <br /> Textiles $ .08 $ .08 <br /> Boxboard $ .06 $ .06 <br /> Aerosol Cans $ .02 $ .02 <br /> <br />WHERES, it appears that ACE Solid Waste, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with ACE Solid Waste, Inc. in the name of the City of Ramsey for the prevision of <br />City-Wide curbside recycling service for a period from January 1, 1996 to December 31, <br />1997 for $1.27 per household. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Peterson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Councilmember Beahen <br />Councilmember Peterson <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin <br /> <br /> <br />
