Councilmember Beahen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #95-05-099 RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE CITY-WIDE CURBSIDE RECYCLING PROGRAM TO ACE SOLID WASTE, INC. WHEREAS, the City Council approved and authorized the advertisement for bids for the City-Wide Curbside Recycling Program at their February 14,1995 meeting; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey is required, under the SCORE legislation, to provide curbside recycling service to all City residents; and WHEREAS, pursuant to advertisement for bids regarding the City-Wide Curbside Recycling, the City has received the following bids: Bidder Year 1 Year 2 Walters Recycling and Repair Service $2.52 $2.58 ACE Solid Waste, Inc. $1.27 $1.27 Additional Material: Textiles $ .08 $ .08 Boxboard $ .06 $ .06 Aerosol Cans $ .02 $ .02 WHERES, it appears that ACE Solid Waste, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with ACE Solid Waste, Inc. in the name of the City of Ramsey for the prevision of City-Wide curbside recycling service for a period from January 1, 1996 to December 31, 1997 for $1.27 per household. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Peterson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Councilmember Beahen Councilmember Peterson Councilmember Beyer Councilmember Zimmerman and the following voted against the same: None and the following abstained: Mayor Hardin
