Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #95-05-105 RESOLUTION APPROVING RAMSEY LIONS CLUB APPLICATION FOR PREMISE PERMITS FOR LAWFUL GAMBLING AT SUPER BOWL, M&L LIQUOR, AND BIG SHOTS BAR & GRILL IN RAMSEY WHEREAS, the Ramsey Lions Club has applied for a premise permits for gambling at Super Bowl, 6720-138th Ave. NW; M&L Liquor, 5900-167th Ave. NW; Big Shots Bar & Grill, 6937 Hwy 10 NW, Ramsey; and WHEREAS, the Ramsey Lions Club provides opportunities and services to the residents of Ramsey with monies derived from lawful gambling operations; and WHEREAS, the Ramsey Lions Club has requested Council waive the 30-day notice provision; and WHEREAS, the Gambling Control Board Division of the Department of Gaming requires the City of Ramsey adopt a resolution specifically approving or denying the application. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves the premise permit application for the Ramsey Lions Club to operate lawful gambling at Super Bowl, 6720-138th Ave. NW; M&L Liquor, 5900-167th Ave. NW; Big Shots Bar & Grill, 6937 Hwy 10 NW, Ramsey. 2) That the Ramsey City Council agrees to waive the 30-day notice provision. 3) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the City Administrator or Finance Officer to sign the application and any other documents required by the Minnesota Gambling Control Board. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Beyer and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Hardin Councilmember Zimmerman Councilmember Beyer Councilmember Beahen Councilmember Peterson and the following voted against the same: None and the following abstained: None and the following were absent: None
