Councilmember Zimmerrnan introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #95-05-106 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND <br />SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #95-13 (RAMSEY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL <br />SANITARY SEWER AND WATERMAIN EXTENSION) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to a motion passed by the Ramsey City Council on February 14, <br />1995, the City Engineer has prepared contract documents and specifications for the Ramsey <br />Elementary School sanitary sewer and watermain extension and has presented such contract <br />documents and specifications to the Council for approval. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That such contract documents and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and <br />made a part hereof, are hereby approved. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and <br />in the Construction Bulletin, an advertisement for bids upon the making of such <br />improvement under such approved contract documents and specifications. The <br />advertisement shall be published for 21 days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state <br />that bids will be received by the City Administrator until 2:00 p.m. on June 23, 1995, at <br />which time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the Ramsey Municipal <br />Center by the City Engineer and the City Clerk (or their representatives), will then be <br />tabulated,, and will be considered by the Ramsey City Council at 7:00 p.m. on June 27, <br />1995 in the Council Chambers. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during <br />consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of <br />responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City <br />Administrator and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified <br />check payable to the City of Ramsey for five (5) percent of the amount of such bid. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Beyer and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Beahen <br />Councilmember Peterson <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
