Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION //95-06-121 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #95-01 THROUGH #95-08 (1995 STREET <br />MAINTENANCE PROGRAM- CRACK FILLING) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Resolutions//95-04-065 through//95-04-072 were adopted by the Ramsey <br />City Council on April 25, 1995, authorizing the preparation of plans and specifications for the <br />above referenced work; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Resolutions//95-05-087 through g95-05-094 were adopted by the Ramsey <br />City Council on May 9, 1995, approving the plans and specifications and authorizing the <br />advertisement for bids for the above referenced work; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 1995 Street Maintenance <br />Program, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law on June 7, 1995; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the following quotes were received: <br /> <br />Bidder <br /> <br />Amount of Bid <br /> <br />Bergman Companies, Inc. <br />Asteeh Corp. <br />Bargen, Inc. <br />Allied Blacktop Company <br />Tenson Construction, Inc. <br /> <br />$16,206.27 <br />$16,973.82 <br />$17,851.02 <br />$17,960.67 <br />$28,947.60 <br /> <br />Engineers Estimate <br /> <br />$18,201.90 <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, it appears that Bergman Companies, Inc. is the lowest responsible <br />bidder. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with Bergman Companies, Inc. in the name of the City of Ramsey for the 1995 <br />Street Maintenance Program - Crack Filling (Improvement Projects//95-01 through//95- <br />08) in the amount of $16,206.27. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders <br />the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the <br />next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Beahen and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br />Councilmember Beahen <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Peterson <br /> <br /> <br />
