Councilmember Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #95-06-139 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND <br />SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #95-15 (THE CONSTRUCTION OF SANITARY <br />SEWER, WATERMAIN, STORM SEWER AND STREETS TO SERVICE THE <br />PROPOSED FOX KNOLL DEVELOPMENT) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Ramsey City Council on September <br />27, 1994, the City Engineer has prepared contract documents and specifications for the <br />improvement of the construction of sanitary sewer, watermain, storm sewer and streets to service <br />the proposed Fox Knoll development and has presented such contract documents and <br />specifications to the Council for approval. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That such contract documents and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and <br />made a part hereof, are hereby approved. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and <br />in the Construction Bulletin, an advertisement for bids upon the making of such <br />improvement under such approved contract documents and specifications. The <br />advertisement shall be published for at least 21 days, shall specify the work to be done, <br />shall state that bids will be received by the City Administrator until 11:00 a.m. on July 21, <br />1995, at which time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the Ramsey <br />Municipal Center by the City Engineer and a Recording Secretary, will then be tabulated, <br />and will be considered by the Ramsey City Council at 7:00 p.m. on JUly 25, 1995, in the <br />Council Chambers. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of <br />the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibility. <br />No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Administrator and <br />accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the <br />City of Ramsey for five (5) percent of the amount of such bid. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Beahen and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin <br />Councilmember Peterson <br />Councilmember Beahen <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
