Councilmember Beahen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #95-07-154 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE MODIFICATION <br />OF DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT NO. 1 AND THE ESTABLISHMENT OF TAX <br />INCREMENT FINANCING DISTRICT NO. 6 AND A TIF PLAN THEREFORE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey ("City") has contemplated using tax increment financing <br />("TIF") in order to facilitate development of certain property in the City (the "Development") <br />pursuant to Minn. Stat. Sections 469.124 to 469.134 and Sections 469.174 to 469.179 <br />(collectively, the "Acts"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has determined to consider the modification of <br />Development District No. 1 and the establishment of TIF. District No. 6 and to hold a public <br />hearing thereon in accordance with the Acts. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />That the City Administrator is authorized and directed to cause to be prepared a <br />Development Program for the modified Development District No. 1 and the TIF Plan for <br />TIF District No. 6 in connection with the Development, and to file a copy of such <br />documents in City Hall. <br /> <br />That the City Administrator is authorized and directed to prepare a notice for publication.in <br />the City's official newspaper, setting a public hearing before the City Council on <br />September 12, 1995, at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers on the Development Program <br />and TIF Plan. The notice shall be published in the newspaper at least 10, but not more than <br />30, days prior to the public hearing, and shall include a map of the Development District <br />and proposed TIF District. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />That the City Administrator is authorized and directed to transmit a copy of the TIF Plan to <br />the County Board and School Board and to take all other actions necessary to bring the <br />Development Program and TIF Plan before the City Council at the time of the public <br />heating. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Zimmerman and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereofi <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin <br />Councilmember Beahen <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Peterson <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
