Councilmcml~r Bcahcn introduced thc following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #95-08-169 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT //94-20 (THE EXTENSION OF SANITARY SEWER <br />AND WATER TO THE PROPOSED ANOKA ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE <br />FACILITY AND ENERGY PARK ADDITION) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Resolution #94-09-214 authorized the preparation of plans and <br />specifications for the above referenced work; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the extension of sanitary sewer <br />and water to the proposed Anoka Electric Cooperative Facility and Energy Park Addition, bids <br />were received, opened and tabulated according to law on July 21, 1995; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the following quotes were received <br /> <br />Bidder <br /> <br />Amount of Bid <br /> <br />Arcon Construction Companies, Inc. <br />Northdale Construction <br />Kenko, Inc. <br />LaTour Construction <br />S.M. Hentages & Sons, Inc. <br />Barbarossa & Sons <br />Ryan Contracting, Inc. <br />Johnson Brothers Corp. <br /> <br />$818,246.01 <br />$855,165.56 <br />$909,641.07 <br />$916,252.86 <br />$916,898.70 <br />$932,365.75 <br />$936,188.80 <br />$1,139,717.50 <br /> <br />Engineer's Estimate <br /> <br />$882,682.50 <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, it appears that Arcon Construction Company, Inc. is the lowest <br />responsible bidder. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with Arcon Construction Company, Inc. in the name of the City of Ramsey for the <br />extension of sanitary sewer and water to the proposed Anoka Electric Cooperative Facility <br />and Energy Park Addition in the amount of $818,246.01. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders <br />the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the <br />next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Peterson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof.' <br /> <br />Councilmember Beahen <br />Councilmember Peterson <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br /> <br />
