Councilmember Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #95-08-171 RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #95-17 (SANITARY SEWER, WATERMAIN, STORM SEWER AND STREET CONSTRUCTION FOR THE RIVERS BEND 4TH ADDITION) WHEREAS, Resolution #95-06-128 authorized the preparation of plans and specifications for the above referenced work; and WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the sanitary sewer, watermain, storm sewer and street construction for the Rivers Bend 4th Addition, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law; and WHEREAS, the following quotes were received: Bidder Ryan Contracting Dave Perkins Contracting Inc. Barbarossa & Sons Inc. Kadlec Excavating of Mora Inc. Northdale Construction Volk Sewer & Water Inc. Burschville Construction, Inc. H & M Asphalt Company Bonine Excavating Amount of Bid $220,458.50 209,411.50 207,910.30 204,454.00 203,040.03 193,135.15 188,947.75 188,853.25 188,678.55 Engineer's Estimate $167,194.00 NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Bonine Excavating in the name of the City of Ramsey for the construction of Improvement Project g95-17 in the amount of $188,678.55. 2) That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders, the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Beyer and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Hardin Councilmember Peterson Councilmembe Beyer Councilmember Beahen Councilmember Zimmerman and the following voted against the same: None
