Councilmember Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #95-08-171 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #95-17 (SANITARY SEWER, WATERMAIN, <br />STORM SEWER AND STREET CONSTRUCTION FOR THE RIVERS BEND 4TH <br />ADDITION) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Resolution #95-06-128 authorized the preparation of plans and <br />specifications for the above referenced work; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the sanitary sewer, watermain, <br />storm sewer and street construction for the Rivers Bend 4th Addition, bids were received, opened <br />and tabulated according to law; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the following quotes were received: <br /> <br />Bidder <br />Ryan Contracting <br />Dave Perkins Contracting Inc. <br />Barbarossa & Sons Inc. <br />Kadlec Excavating of Mora Inc. <br />Northdale Construction <br />Volk Sewer & Water Inc. <br />Burschville Construction, Inc. <br />H & M Asphalt Company <br />Bonine Excavating <br /> <br />Amount of Bid <br /> $220,458.50 <br /> 209,411.50 <br /> 207,910.30 <br /> 204,454.00 <br /> 203,040.03 <br /> 193,135.15 <br /> 188,947.75 <br /> 188,853.25 <br /> 188,678.55 <br /> <br />Engineer's Estimate <br /> <br />$167,194.00 <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with Bonine Excavating in the name of the City of Ramsey for the construction of <br />Improvement Project g95-17 in the amount of $188,678.55. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders, <br />the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the <br />next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Beyer and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin <br />Councilmember Peterson <br />Councilmembe Beyer <br />Councilmember Beahen <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
