Councilmember Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ~95-10-234 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT g95-14 <br />SANITARY SEWER, WATER EXTENSION, STORM SEWER, <br />IMPROVEMENTS TO HAUBRICH ADDITION) <br /> <br />(MUNICIPAL <br />AND STREET <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a resolution of the City Council, adopted June 27, 1995, fixed a date for a <br />Council hearing on the proposed improvement of municipal sanitary sewer, watermain, storm <br />sewer and street improvements to Haubrieh Addition (IP g95-14); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City has waited the required sixty (60) days following the public <br />hearing; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, ten days' marled notice and two weeks' published notice of the hearing <br />was given, and the hearing was held on July 25, 1995, at which time all persons desiring to be <br />heard were given an opportunity to do so; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, plans and specifications have been prepared; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Barbarossa & Sons are currently under contract for watermain installation <br />which is to occur within the project area, making it efficient to install the remaining underground <br />utilities and restore the street; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the work associated with the improvements to g95-14 are less than 25% of <br />the current contract amount with Barbarossa and are therefore eligible to be awarded by change <br />order to the existing contract; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a change order for the work associated with g95-14 has been proposed and <br />accepted by Barbarossa & Sons; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the benefitted property is ripe for development; the owner can reasonably <br />expect to secure the necessary zoning and other permits required for the development to take place; <br />and the development is not expected to take place at too remote a time. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That such improvement is hereby ordered as proposed in the Council resolution adopted <br />June 27, 1995. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That City Engineer Steven Jankowski is hereby designated as the engineer for this <br />improvement. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />That Improvement Project g95-14 is hereby awarded to Barbarossa & Sons as a change <br />order to Improvement Project g95-13 in the amount of $102,230.26. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Beahen and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin <br />Councilmember Peterson <br />Councilmember Beahen <br /> <br /> <br />
