Councilmember Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #95-11-249 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PARTIAL PAYMENT TO BARBAROSSA & SONS, <br />INC. FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT g95-13 (RAMSEY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL <br />SANITARY SEWER AND WATERMAIN EXTENSION) AND IMPROVEMENT <br />PROJECT #95-14 (MUNICIPAL SANITARY SEWER AND WATER EXTENSION <br />TO HAUBRICH ADDITION) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Ramsey approved Improvement Project 0<)5-13 <br />on February 14, 1995 and Improvement Project g95-14 on September 26, 1995; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Ramsey adopted a resolution awarding the bid <br />to Barbarossa & Sons, Inc. for the Ramsey Elementary School sanitary sewer and watermain <br />extension (Improvement Project 095-13); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Ramsey awarded Improvement Project #95-14 <br />to Barbarossa & Sons, Inc. by change order on September 26, 1995; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Engineer Steve Jankowski has inspected the completed work and <br />recommends partial payment to Barbarossa & Sons, Inc. in the amount of $287,887.57. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Council hereby authorizes partial payment to Barbarossa & Sons, Inc. for <br />Improvement Project ~95-13 and Improvement Project g95-14 in the amount of $287,887.57. <br /> <br />2) That the City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor or City <br /> Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills <br />for the month of November, 1995. <br /> <br />4) That the City of Ramsey Finance Department be provided a signed copy of this resolution. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Beyer <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin <br />Councilmember Peterson <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Beahen <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
