Coun¢ilmember Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION RESOLUTION DESIGNATING USE OF DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS g96-02-036 UNALLOCATED 1995 COMMUNITY WHEREAS, Anoka County is responsible for the allocation and timely expenditure of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey receives an annual allocation of CDBG funds from Anoka County; and WHEREAS, on August 25, 1995, the City of Ramsey received notification of $4,009.00 in unallocated 1995 CDBG funds; and WHEREAS, on December 26, 1995, the City of Ramsey notification of a 1996 CDBG allocation in the amount of $34,772.00; and WHEREAS, on January 23, 1996, the Ramsey City Council conducted a public hearing regarding the use of unallocated 1995 CDBG funds and the 1996 CDBG allocation; and WHEREAS, on February 8, 1996, a subcommittee of the City Council met to review the applications for funding; and WHEREAS, on February 13, 1996, the City Council subcommittee made a recommendation to City Council regarding allocation of 1995 and 1996 CDBG. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City of Ramsey hereby applies to Anoka County for unallocated 1995 Community Development Block Grant funds to be used as follows: Project Amount ACCAP Home,Rehabilitation of a Ramsey dwelling $4,009.00 2) That the City of Ramsey hereby declines at allocate funds for a CDBG project in 1996 and requests that the allocation be carried over for a possible project in 1997. 3) That a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Anoka County CDBG Administrator. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Beyer and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Councilmember Peterson Councilmember Beyer Councilmember Beahen Councilmember Zimmerman
