Couneilmember Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION g96-03-045 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING CLASSIFICATION AND REQUESTING THAT <br />ANOKA COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS PLACE FOR PUBLIC SALE <br />THE FOLLOWING TAX FORFEITED PROPERTIES: P.I.N. 01-32-25-13-0014, <br />P.I.N. 34-32-25-42-0007 AND CONVEY THE FOLLOWING PROPERTY TO <br />THE CITY OF RAMSEY FOR PUBLIC USE: P.I.N. 06-32-25-23-0006 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Anoka County Board of Commissioners approved a resolution <br />providing authority under Chapter 282 of Minnesota Statutes for public sale of land situated in <br />Anoka County which is forfeited to the State of Minnesota for nonpayment of taxes; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the classification and sale of tax forfeit land lying within the bounds of any <br />organized town with a taxable value in excess of $20,000 of an incorporated municipality must be <br />approved by the Council of each City insofar as lands located therein are concerned; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the town board or governing body will be deemed to have approved <br />classification sale if the County Board is not notified of the disapproval of the classification sale <br />within ninety (90) days of the date requested for approval as transmitted to the town board or <br />governing body; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, if the town board or governing body desires to acquire any parcel lying in <br />the town or municipality by procedures authorized in Section 282.01, it shall, within ninety (90) <br />days of the requested classification and sale, file a written application to the County Board to <br />withhold the parcel from public sale for one year. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That Anoka County withhold from public sale and convey to the City of Ramsey the <br />property known as P.I.N. 06-32-25-23-0006 for use as open space and drainage. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That Anoka County attempt to sell the property known as P.I.N. 01-32-25-13-0014 to the <br />owner of P.I.N. 01-32-25-14-0036, and to sell the property known as P.I.N. 34-32-25- <br />42-0007 to the owner of P.I.N. 34-32-25-42-0008 as both are unbuildable lots. <br /> <br />3) That a certified copy of this resolution be forwarded to Anoka County. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Zimmerman and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereofi <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin <br />Councilmember Peterson <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br />Councilmember Beahen <br />Councilmember Beyer <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
