Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION //96-03-053 <br />RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE 1996 BUSINESS EXPO <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey's Economic Development Commission is sponsoring the <br /> 1996 Ramsey Business EXPO which will be held on June 1, 1996; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in years past, the Ramsey City Council has contributed to this economic <br />development effort; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Anoka Area Chamber of Commerce will be the depository and record <br />keeper for revenue and expenditure transactions. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the City of Ramsey contribute the sum of Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00) to the cost <br /> of advertising and promotion for the EXPO. <br /> <br />2) That the Finance Officer is directed to issue payment to the Anoka Area Chamber of Commerce <br /> and charge same to the Budget Account #101-1112-43491. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Beyer <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Hardin <br /> Couneilmember Zimmerman <br /> Councilmember Beyer <br /> Councilmember Beahen <br /> Councilmember Peterson <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the <br />12th day of March, 1996. <br /> <br /> Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
