Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION g96-03-063 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE <br />PURCHASE OF ARTICULATED LOADER WITH SNOW PLOW AND WING <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, included in the 1996 Adopted General Fund Budget is $115,500.00 [net of <br />trade] for the purchase of an articulated loader with snow plow and wing; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Finance Committee, at their January 23, 1996 meeting, authorized the <br />advertisement for bids for the purchase of an articulated loader with snow plow and wing; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council, on January 23, 1996, ratified the Finance Committee's <br />approval of the purchase of an articulated loader with snow plow and wing; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota bid law, bids were advertised and the following bids <br />were received: <br /> <br />DEALER <br /> <br />BRAND NEW MACHINE USED MACHINE <br /> <br />RDO Equipment Co. <br />St. Joseph's Equipment <br /> <br />John Deere $123,575 $107,555 <br />CASE $102,545 $ 91,980 <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, the Public Works Supervisor has determined that the used machines <br />look and operate just like the new ones and meet our needs; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, St. Joseph's Equipment is the lowest bidder meeting the required <br />specifications and including a five year warranty is within the available budget. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />The Public Works Supervisor is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with St. <br />Joseph's Equipment, Inc., in the name of the City of Ramsey, for the purchase of one <br />articulated loader with snow plow and wing at a price not-to-exceed $109,000 [which <br />includes sales tax and five year warranty]. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Beyer and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor: <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Beahen <br />Councilmember Peterson <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
