Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #96-04-094 RESOLUTION TERMINATING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #96-06 (SEALCOAT AND CRACK FILL THE NW QUARTER OF THE SE QUARTER OF SECTION 15) WHEREAS, City Engineer Steven Jankowski was directed by the Ramsey City Council, at their meeting of October 24, 1995, to prepare a feasibility study for the 1996 Street Maintenance Program; and WHEREAS, City Council adopted Resolution g96-01-017 on January 23, 1996, receiving the feasibility study and fixing a date for a Council public hearing on the proposed improvement of sealcoating and crack filling the NW Quarter of the SE Quarter of Section 15 (Project g96-06); and WHEREAS, ten days' mailed notice and two weeks' published notice of the hearing was given, and the hearing was held on February 13, 1996 at which time all persons desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to be heard thereon; and WHEREAS, it has been determined this project would be best undertaken in conjunction with improvements to surrounding streets and should be reconsidered with the 1997 Street Maintenance Program. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) That Improvement Project g96-06 (Sealcoat and Crack Fill the NW Quarter of the SE Quarter of Section 15) is hereby terminated as proposed on January 23, 1996. 2) That Improvement Project g96-06 will be reconsidered, in conjunction with improvements to surrounding streets, with the 1997 Street Maintenance Program. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Beyer and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Hardin Councilmember Zimmerman Councilmember Beyer Councilmember Beahen Councilmember Peterson and the following voted against the same: None and the following abstained: None and the following were absent: None
