Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #96-04-094 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TERMINATING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #96-06 (SEALCOAT <br />AND CRACK FILL THE NW QUARTER OF THE SE QUARTER OF SECTION <br />15) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Engineer Steven Jankowski was directed by the Ramsey City Council, <br />at their meeting of October 24, 1995, to prepare a feasibility study for the 1996 Street Maintenance <br />Program; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Council adopted Resolution g96-01-017 on January 23, 1996, <br />receiving the feasibility study and fixing a date for a Council public hearing on the proposed <br />improvement of sealcoating and crack filling the NW Quarter of the SE Quarter of Section 15 <br />(Project g96-06); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, ten days' mailed notice and two weeks' published notice of the hearing was <br />given, and the hearing was held on February 13, 1996 at which time all persons desiring to be <br />heard were given an opportunity to be heard thereon; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it has been determined this project would be best undertaken in conjunction <br />with improvements to surrounding streets and should be reconsidered with the 1997 Street <br />Maintenance Program. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That Improvement Project g96-06 (Sealcoat and Crack Fill the NW Quarter of the SE <br />Quarter of Section 15) is hereby terminated as proposed on January 23, 1996. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That Improvement Project g96-06 will be reconsidered, in conjunction with improvements <br />to surrounding streets, with the 1997 Street Maintenance Program. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Beyer and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Beahen <br />Councilmember Peterson <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
