Councilmember Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #96-04-098 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE <br />PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF ATHLETIC FIELD LIGHTING FOR <br />SOFTBALL FIELDS 3 AND 4 AT CENTRAL PARK <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, included in the 1996 Adopted Capital Improvement Program is $105,000 <br />in trust fund interest earnings allocated for improvements to Central Park; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council, at their February 27, 1996 meeting, authorized the <br />advertisement for bids for the purchase and installation of athletic field lighting; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Bid Law, a request for bids were advertised and the <br />following two bids were received: <br /> <br />Vendor Scope of Work Amount <br /> <br />Electro Mechanical Contracting <br /> <br />Provision and installation of <br />lamps, poles, and associated <br />appurtenances <br /> <br />$62,785.00 <br /> <br />Electric Systems of Anoka <br /> <br />Provision and installation of <br />electric controls and buried cable <br /> <br />$21,900.00 <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, both vendor meet specifications and requirements for the different <br />work to be performed. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorized the City Administrator and the Mayor to <br />enter into an agreement with both Electric Systems of Anoka and Electro Mechanical <br />Contracting, in the name of the City for the purchase and installation of athletic field <br />lighting in an amount not to exceed $21,900.00 and $62,785.00 respectively. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Beahen and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof.' <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin <br />Councilmember Peterson <br />Councilmember Beahen <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />none <br /> <br /> <br />
