Councilmember Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #96-05-119 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT //95-21 (SUNWOOD DRIVE WEST) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on April 9, 1996, City Council authorized the preparation of plans and <br />specifications for the above referenced work; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of Sunwood <br />Drive from C.R. #56 to C.R. #116, to include watermain and sanitary sewer, bids were received, <br />opened on May 10, 1996, and tabulated according to law; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the following quotes were received <br /> <br />Bidder <br /> <br />Amount of Bid <br /> <br />S.R. Weidema, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />l) <br /> <br />That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with S.R. Weidema, Inc. in the name of the City of Ramsey for the construction of <br />Sunwood Drive from C.R. #56 to C.R. #116, to include watermain and sanitary sewer, in <br />the amount of $804,020.62. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders <br />the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the <br />next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Zimmerman and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin <br />Councilmember Peterson <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br />Councilmember Beahen <br />Councilmember Beyer <br /> <br /> <br />
