Councilmember Beahen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #96-05-134 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING 1996 - 1997 LABOR AGREEMENT WITH AFSCME <br />COUNCIL 14 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees <br />Council 14 Local 2454 represents all public works and clerical employees in the City of Ramsey <br />who are not confidential or supervisory; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, representatives of the Local and management have negotiated a contract for <br />1996 and 1997; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on May 20, 1996 the employees in the Local ratified the agreement; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the agreement represents a 4.83% increase in wages and benefits in 1996; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the agreement represents a 4.93% increase in wages and benefits in 1997. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />The 1996 - 1997 Labor Agreement with AFSCME Council 14 is hereby approved. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Beyer and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereofi <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin <br />Councilmember Beahen <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Peterson <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and ado~[~ by the Ramsey City Council this <br />this 28th day of May, 1996. ~Ma~~~_ 5 _~i <br />ATTEST: 0 I tr} <br />~ A'ffm]nistrat°r-' _ / <br /> <br /> <br />
