Councilmember Beahen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION //96-05-135 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING BUDGET <br />FROM THE COUNCIL CONTINGENCY <br />MOBILE RADIO <br /> <br />AMENDMENT ALLOCATING $525 <br /> FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City crews currently utilizes City owned vehicles during the normal <br />course of business; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the to provide communication devices in all City <br />vehicles for the health, safety and welfare of City employees and citizens; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is anticipated that the total cost, including set-up and installation will be <br />approximately $525; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, no funding was provided for in the Adopted 1996 Operating Budget for <br />such a purchase; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has the ability to provide funding for this purchase through <br />a re-allocation of the Council Contingency within the Adopted 1996 Operating Budget. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes a budget amendment allocating $525 form <br />the Council Contingency Fund for the purchase of one mobile radio. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Beyer and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof.' <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin <br />Councilmember Beahen <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Peterson <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this <br />the 28th day of May, 1996.
