Councilmember Beyer introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION /t96-07-170 RESOLUTION APPROVING FINAL PAYMENT TO H & M ASPHALT COMPANY FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #95-16 (BITUMINOUS SURFACING OF BISON STREET BETWEEN 171ST AVENUE AND 173RD AVENUE) WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Ramsey approved this project on August 22, 1995; and WHEREAS, on September 26, 1995, the City Council of the City of Ramsey adopted Resolution 095-09-23 l awarding the bid to H & M Asphalt Company for the bituminous surfacing of Bison Street between 171st Avenue and 173rd Avenue (Improvement Project #95-16); and WHEREAS, previous payment has been made for Improvement Project #95-16 to H & M Asphalt Company in the amount of $29,956.45 WHEREAS, City Engineer Steve Jankowski has inspected the completed work and recommends final payment to H & M Asphalt Company in the amount of $4,138.65. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council hereby authorizes final payment to H & M Asphalt Company for the bituminous surfacing of Bison Street between 171st Avenue and 173rd Avenue (Improvement Project//95-16) in the amount of $4,138.65. 2) That the City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor or City Administrator to sign the release fom'~ for this payment. 3) That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills for the month of July, 1996. 4) That the City of Ramsey Finance Department be provided a signed copy of this resolution. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Councilmember Beyer Councilmember Zimmem~an Councilmember Beahen Councilmember Peterson and the following voted against the same: None and the following abstained: None
