Councilmember Beyer introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #96-08-193 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF FURNITURE FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT FACILITIES WHEREAS, at the Council's meeting of August 13, 1996, staff presented a request for the purchase of furniture for the Police Department facilities; and WHEREAS, included in the 1996 Adopted General Fund Budget was the purchase of furniture for the Police Department facility for a total price of $22,727.00; and WHEREAS, Police department and Administrative staff have conducted site visits in order to compare furnishings provided by Facility Systems and TAB Office Products; and WHEREAS, based on these site visits, Facility System is favored for furnishings and TAB Office Products for filing systems and lockers; and WHEREAS, the most competitive seating company is OEB Inc. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the capital purchase of furnishings for the Police Department facility as follows: Workstations Facility Systems $11,609 Files/Lockers Tab Office Products 7,590 Chairs OEB, Inc. 2,534 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Beahen and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof.' Mayor Hardin Councilmember Beyer Councilmember Beahen Councilmember Peterson Couneilmember Zimmerman and the following voted against the same: None and the following abstained: None and the following were absent: None whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 13th day of August, 1996.
