Councilmember Beahen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION //96-08-198 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT WITH ANOKA HENNEPIN SCHOOL <br />DISTRICT #11 TO PROVIDE THE SERVICES OF A CITY OF RAMSEY <br />D.A.R.E. OFFICER <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Anoka Hennepin School District has requested the services of a Ramsey <br />Police Officer to provide Drag Awareness and Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) services to the <br />Ramsey Elementary School for the 1996-97 school year; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Anoka Hennepin School District has offered to pay the City $1,287 for <br />the services of a D.A.R.E. Officer during the 1996-97 school year; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to work with the school district to provide <br />drag awareness and resistance education. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Council hereby authorizes the Mayor and City Administrator to enter into a <br />contract with Anoka Hennepin School District to provide D.A.R.E. services during the <br />1996-97 school year, at a cost of $1,287. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Beyer and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof.' <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin <br />Councilmember Beahen <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember Peterson <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this <br /> <br />the 27th day of August, 1996 <br /> <br />Or0 Adlministrator <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
