Councilmember Beyer introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION /t96-08-208 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING BUDGET AMENDMENT TO PURCHASE FIRE <br />DEPARTMENT LOCK BOXES FOR RESALE TO LOCAL BUSINESSES <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, at the Fire Board meeting of June 12, 1996, the Board agreed to the concept <br />of providing fire lock boxes to local businesses; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, at the Finance Committee meeting of August 27, 1996, staff presented a <br />request for the purchase of 10 fire department lock boxes for resale to local businesses; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the purchase and resale of these lock boxes was not originally authorized in <br />the 1996 Adopted General Fund Budget; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it has been determined through written quotations that Metro Fire out of <br />Wyoming, Minnesota, can provide the fire lock boxes for $102.00 each; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is anticipated that these lock boxes can be sold to local businesses for a <br />cost of $117.30 plus tax. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes a budget amendment increasing Fire <br />Department Supplies for Resale by $1,020.00 for the initial purchase of 10 lock boxes <br />from Metro Fire out of Wyoming, Minnesota. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the Ramsey City Council hereby establishes a sales price of the fire department lock <br />boxes at $117.30 plus sales tax and directs the Finance Officer to add this fee to the <br />Schedule of Rates, Fees and Charges. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes a budget amendment increasing 1996 <br />General Fund Revenues by $1,173.00 for the resale of 10 fire department lock boxes. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Beahen and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Beahen <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
