Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #96-08-210 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXPENDITURE OF AMENDMENT FOR LOOPING WATERMAIN AT INTERSECTION FUNDS AND BUDGET T.H. #47/C.R. #116 WHEREAS, at the Finance Committee meeting of August 27, 1996. staff presented a request to loop the municipal water system in conjunction with T.H. #47/C.R. #116 intersection project; and WHEREAS, the proposal received from Forest Lake Contracting, Inc., the contractor currently performing the work on the State/County intersection project, amounted to $22,010; and WHEREAS, the project provides a opportunity to loop the municipal watermain to allow for back feed to area businesses on both sides of T.H. #47; and WHEREAS, an expenditure of this nature was not included in the Adopted 1996 Water Utility Enterprise Fund. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes a budget amendment for the looping of the municipal water system in conjunction with T.H. #47/C.R. #116 intersection project in the amount of $22,010. 2) That the Ramsey City Council hereby awards the work for the watermain looping to Forest Lake Contracting, Inc., the contractor currently performing the work on the State/County intersection project for a cost of $22,010. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Beyer and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof.' Mayor Hardin Councilmember Zimmerman Councilmember Beyer Councilmember Beahen and the following voted against the same: None and the following abstained: None and the following were absent: Councilmember Peterson whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 27th day of August, 1996.
