Councilmember Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 096-09-218 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PARTIAL PAYMENT TO KADLEC <br />FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #96-16 (SANITARY SEWER, <br />STORM SEWER, AND STREET IMPROVEMENTS OF FOX <br />ADDITION) <br /> <br />EXCAVATING <br />WATERMAIN, <br />KNOLL 2ND <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Resolution #96-04-069, dated April 9, 1996, authorized the preparation of <br />plans and specifications for the above referenced work; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on May 14, 1996, the Ramsey City Council adopted Resolution #96-05-118 <br />awarding the bid to Kadlec Excavating for the sanitary sewer, watermain, storm sewer and street <br />construction of Fox Knoll 2nd Addition (Improvement Project g96-16); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, previous payments have been made to Kadlec Excavating in the amount of <br />$172,835.08; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Engineer Steve Jankowski has inspected the completed work and <br />recommends partial payment to Kadlec Excavating in the amount of $117,718.92. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Council hereby authorizes partial payment to Kadlec Excavating for the sanitary <br />sewer, watermain, storm sewer and street construction of Fox Knoll 2nd Addition <br />(Improvement Project #96-16) in the amount of $117,718.92. <br /> <br />2) That the City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor or City <br /> Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills <br />for the month of September, 1996. <br /> <br />4) That the City of Ramsey Finance Department be provided a signed copy of this resolution. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Beahen and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin <br />Councilmember Peterson <br />Councilmember Beahen <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember Beyer <br /> <br /> <br />
