Councilmember Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #96-09-219 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PARTIAL PAYMENT TO S.R. WEIDEMA, INC. FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT g95-21 (SUNWOOD DRIVE WEST) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on April 9, 1996, City Council authorized the preparation of plans and <br />specifications for the above referenced work; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on May 14, 1996, the City Council of the City of Ramsey adopted Resolution <br />#96-05-119 awarding the bid to S.R. Weidema, Inc. for the construction of Sunwood Drive from <br />C.R. #56 to C.R. #116, including watermain and sanitary sewer (Improvement Project #95-21); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council has authorized previous payment in the amount of <br />$200,567.94; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Engineer Steve Jankowski has inspected the completed work and <br />recommends partial payment to S.R. Weidema, Inc. in the amount of $398,391.43. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Council hereby authorizes partial payment to S.R. Weidema, Inc. for the <br />construction of Sunwood Drive from C.R. #56 to C.R. #116, including watermain and <br />sanitary sewer (Improvement Project #95-21) in the amount of $398,391.43. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor or City <br />Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills <br />for the month of September, 1996. <br /> <br />4) That the City of Ramsey Finance Department be provided a signed copy of this resolution. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Beahen and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin <br />Councilmember Peterson <br />Councilmember Beahen <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember Beyer <br /> <br /> <br />
