Councilmember Beahen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #96-10-280 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING 2ND PARTIAL PAYMENT TO VOLK SEWER & <br />WATER, INC. FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #96-17 (RETENTION POND, <br />UTILITY, AND STREET IMPROVEMENTS FOR MCKINLEY STREET EAST) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Council authorized the preparation of plans and specifcafions for the <br />above referenced work by motion on January 23, 1996; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on July 9, 1996, the Ramsey City Council adopted Resolution #96-07-166 <br />awarding the bid to Volk Sewer & Water, Inc. for the retention pond, utility, and street improvements <br />for McKinley Street East (Improvement Project #96-17); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, previous payment has been made to Volk Sewer & Water, Inc. in the amount <br />of $115,883.01; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Engineer Steve Jankowski has inspected the completed work and <br />recommends partial payment to Volk Sewer & Water, Inc. in the amount of $54,056.41. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Council hereby authorizes partial payment to Volk Sewer & Water, Inc. for the <br />retention pond, utility, and street improvements for McKinley Street East (Improvement <br />Project #96-17) in the amount of $54,056.41. <br /> <br />2) That the City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor or City <br /> Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills <br />for the month of October, 1996. <br /> <br />4) That the City of Ramsey Finance Department be provided a signed copy of this resolution. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Zimmerman and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin <br />Councilmember Beahen <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Peterson <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
