Councilmember Beahen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #96-10-286 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PARTIAL PAYMENT TO RYAN CONTRACTING, <br />INC. FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #94-16 (SANITARY SEWER, WATER- <br />MAIN, STORM SEWER, AND STREET IMPROVEMENTS TO SUNWOOD DRIVE <br />EAST) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on April 9, 1996, the Ramsey City Council adopted Resolution #96-04-075, <br />authorizing the preparation of plans and specifications for the above referenced work; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on May 14, 1996, the Ramsey City Council adopted Resolution #96-05-121 <br />awarding the bid to Ryan Contracting, Inc. for the sanitary sewer, watermain, storm sewer, and <br />street improvements to Sunwood Drive East (Improvement Project #94-16); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City Council has authorized previous payments in the amount of $661,307.54; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Engineer Steve Jankowsld has inspected the completed work and <br />recommends partial payment to Ryan Contracting, Inc. in the amount of $90,172.20. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Council hereby authorizes partial payment to Ryan Contracting, Inc. for the <br />sanitary sewer, watermain, storm sewer, and street improvements to Sunwood Drive East <br />(Improvement Project #94-16) in the amount of $90,172.20. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor or City <br />Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills <br />for the month of October, 1996. <br /> <br />4) That the City of Rarnsey Finance Depamnent be provided a signed copy of this resolution. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Zimmerman and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin <br />Councilmember Beahen <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Peterson <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
