Councilmember Beyer introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 4196-10-313 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING BUDGET AMENDMENT <br />CONSTRUCTION OF EVIDENCE AND PROPERTY STORAGE <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT FACILITY <br /> <br /> FOR THE <br />ROOM IN THE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, at the Finance Committee meeting of October 22, 1996, staff presented a <br />request for the construction of an evidence and property storage room in the Police Department <br />facility; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the storage of evidence and other property currently takes place at the <br />Public Works facility located across the City and is would be desirable to centralize this function by <br />the construction of one storage area in the new police facility; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the construction was not originally authorized in the 1996 Adopted General <br />Fund Budget nor in the police facility construction budget; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it has been determined that Sharp and Associates can construct the evidence <br />and storage room in the lower level for a cost of $3,430.00; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it has been determined that this amount could be funded through a budget <br />amendment allocation from the Council Contingency Fund. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes a budget amendment allocating $3,430.00 <br />from the Council Contingency for the construction of the evidence and property storage <br />room. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the City Administer to enter into a change <br />order with Sharp and Associates on the original construction project to add the construction <br />of an evidence and property storage room. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Zimmerman upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br />Councilmember Beahen <br />Councilmember Peterson <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
