Councilmember Beahen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption RESOLUTION #96-10-314 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CHANGE ORDER FROM SHARP ASSOCIATES ON THE POLICE OFFICE BUILDING CONTRACT AND WHEREAS, on April 9, 1996, Council authorized entering into a contract with Sharp and Associates for the construction of an office building; and WHEREAS, in the 1996 adopted budget, Council approved $22,727 in office improvements for the Community Development Department; and WHEREAS, as a result of the office building construction project, the Police Department is vacating the existing space dedicated to the Police Department; and WHEREAS, it has been proposed that the non-structural elements of that space be removed in order to facilitate reuse of the space by the Community Development Department. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That a change order in the contract with Sharp Associates be approved in the amount of $11,400 in order to provide for the reconfiguration of the Police Office space for use by the Community Development Department. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Beyer and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Hardin Councilmember Beahen Councilmember Beyer Councilmember Peterson Councilmember Zimmerman and the following voted against the same: None and the following abstained: None and the following were absent: None whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 22nd day of October, 1996.
