Councilmember Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION //96-12-339 RESOLUTION APPROVING ABATEMENT OF CERTAIN SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS CERTIFIED IN 1993, 1994, AND 1995 FOR CITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT //92-11, COUNTY PROJECT #82182 DUE TO FULL PAYMENT OF ORIGINAL ASSESSMENT WHEREAS, Resolution g93-10-222 adopted the original assessment roll related to Project g92-11 described as extension of sanitary sewer, water and street improvements in Ramsey Meadows Addition; and WHEREAS, PIN #24-32-25-33-0021 was assessed $13,518.60 in conjunction with Project 4/92-11; and WHEREAS, the City holds a financial surety in the amount of $10,000 as guarantee for payment of special assessments; and WHEREAS, the special assessments levied to date are delinquent and it was the intention of the City to "draw" on the financial surety to satisfy said assessments; and WHEREAS, the special assessments levied to date and future assessments have been paid in full to avoid a draw on the financial surety; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to abate the assessments certified for previous years due to payment; and WHEREAS, it is necessary to remove all future assessments for payable 1997 and 1998. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council hereby approves the abatement of special assessments for Project //92-11, County Fund #82182 for PIN #24-32-25-33-0021 for payable years 1994, 1995 and 1996. 2) That the City Council hereby approves the removal of special assessments for Project//92- 11, County Fund #82182 for PIN #24-32-25-33-0021 for future payable years 1997 and 1998. 2) That the City of Ramsey hereby instructs the Finance Officer to process ail paperwork as required by the Anoka County Auditors Office in regard to the abatement and notify the property owner of the Council's action. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Beahen and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Hardin Councilmember Peterson Councilmember Beahen Councilmember Beyer Councilmember Zimmerman
