Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #97-01-036 RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING GLEN D. HARDIN FOR SERVICE TO THE CITY OF RAMSEY WHEREAS, from the years 1984 through 1990, Mr. Glen D. Hardin served the City of Ramsey as a volunteer commissioner on the Economic Development Commission; and WHEREAS, from the years 1991 through 1994, Mr. Hardin served the City as a member of the City Council of the City of Ramsey; and WHEREAS, in the years 1995 and 1996, Mr. Hardin served the City as the Mayor of the City of Ramsey; and WHEREAS, during these years of service to the community, the City of Ramsey experienced major changes in population, service level, and all other aspects of governance; and WHEREAS, the hard work, dedication, decisions, and leadership of Mr. Hardin have contributed to the City of Ramsey being a desirable community within which to live and work. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That Mr. Glen D. Hardin is thanked and applauded for his many contributions to this community. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Beyer, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gamec Councilmember Zimmerman Councilmember Beyer Councilmember Beahen Councilmember Haas Steffen and the following voted against the same: None and the following abstained: None and the following were absent: None whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 28th day of Janu ary, 1997. 2~~~~j~ yor ~J(drZninistrator I
