Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #97-01-037 RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING KENNETH R. PETERSON FOR SERVICE TO THE CITY OF RAMSEY WHEREAS, from the years 1972 through 1976, Mr. Kenneth R. Peterson served the City of Ramsey as a volunteer commissioner on the Park and Recreation Commission; and WHEREAS, from the years 1976 through 1986, Mr. Peterson served as a commissioner on the Planning and Zoning Commission; and WHEREAS, from the years 1989 through 1996, Mr. Peterson served the City as a member of the City Council of the City of Ramsey; and WHEREAS, during these years of service to the community, the City of Ramsey experienced major changes in population, service level, and all other aspects of governance; and WHEREAS, the hard work, dedication, decisions, and leadership of Mr. Peterson have contributed to the City of Ramsey being a desirable community within which to live and work. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That Mr. Kenneth R. Peterson is thanked and applauded for his many contributions to this community. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly s~onded by Councilmember Beyer, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gamec Councilmember Zimmerman Councilmember Beyer Councilmember Beahen Councilmember Haas Steffen and the following voted against the same: None and the following abstained: None and the following were absent: None whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 28th day of January, 1997.
