Councilmember Beyer introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #97-01-040 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING BUDGET AMENDMENT FOR THE PURCHASE OF <br />REPLACEMENT AND NEW COMPUTER EQUIPMENT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, at the Finance Committee meeting of January 28, 1997, staff presented a <br />request for a budget amendment for the purchase of replacement and new computer equipment; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, included in the 1997 Adopted General Fund Budget was net new monies of <br />$47,537 for the purchase of replacement and new computer equipment, software updates and <br />maintenance; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it has been determined that additional purchases of computer equipment, <br />software updates and maintenance can be completed utilizing $47,150 of net new monies; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, these additional purchases would require a budget amendment to reallocate <br />current budget line items and allow for additional transfers to and from the Equipment <br />Replacement Fund. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes a budget amendment to the Data Processing <br />Department by increasing capital outlay by $15,800; reducing maintenance contracts and <br />software updates by $8,497; increasing professional services by $4,000, and increasing <br />Transfers to Equipment Replacement Fund by $3,160. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes a budget amendment to the Council <br />Contingency by increasing the discretionary contingency by $387. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes a budget amendment increasing 1997 <br />General Fund Revenues by $14,850 for additional funding from the Equipment <br />Replacement Fund. <br /> <br />3) The Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the purchase of replacement and new <br /> computer equipment and software updates/upgrades. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Haas Steffen, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Beyer <br /> <br /> <br />
