Councilmember Haas Steffen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION g97-02-047 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING BUDGET AMENDMENT TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL FUNDING FOR COMMUNITY EDUCATION PROGRAMS OFFERED THROUGH ANOKA-HENNEPIN ISD #11 WHEREAS, at the Finance Committee meeting of February 25, 1997, staff presented a request for a budget amendment to provide additional funding for community education programs offered through Anoka-Hennepin ISD #11; and WHEREAS, included in the 1997 Adopted General Fund Budget was funding in the amount of $15,800 for community education; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that additional funding in the amount of $4,935 is necessary to increase the programs offered due to increased Ramsey student enrollments; and WHEREAS, additional funding for increased programming would require an allocation from the Council Contingency in the amount of 3,964. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) The Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes a budget amendment increasing the Community Education programs by $3,964. 2) The Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes a budget amendment re-allocating $3,964 from the 1997 Council Contingency Fund. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Beyer, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gamec Councilmember Haas Steffen Councilmember Beyer Councilmember Beahen Councilmember Zimmerman and the following voted against the same: None and the following abstained: None and the following were absent: None whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 25th day of February, 1997.
