Councilmember Beahen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #97-04-081 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF NORTHSTAR CORRIDOR <br />DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey, by Resolution #97-03-053, agreed to support <br />development of an organization which will review and analyze multi-modal transportation <br />improvements in the T.H. #10 corhdor, including highway improvements, commuter and freight <br />rail, recreational trails and intelligent Transportation Systems; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a joint powers agreement has been prepared by prospective member <br />agencies of the Northstar Corridor; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Ramsey to be a member of this <br />organization. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized to enter into the Joint <br />Powers Agreement establishing the aforementioned organization and that the Mayor and <br />Councilmember Haas Steffen are hereby appointed as the initial representative and <br />alternate to said organization. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Beyer, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Beahen <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Haas Steffen <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
