Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #97-05-109 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS <br />AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br />#97-02 (SEALCOAT AND CRACK FILL HUNTERS RIDGE) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution #97-05-093 passed by the Ramsey City Council on <br />May 13, 1997, the City Engineer has prepared contract documents and specifications for the <br />sealcoating and crack filling of Hunters Ridge and has presented such contract documents and <br />specifications to the Council for approval. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That such contract documents and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and <br />made a part hereof, are hereby approved. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper <br />and in the Construction Bulletin, an advertisement for bids upon the making of such <br />improvement under such approved contract documents and specifications. The <br />advertisement shall be published for 21 days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state <br />that bids will be received by the City Administrator until 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 6, <br />1997, at which time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the Ramsey <br />Municipal Center by the City Engineer and the City Clerk (or their representatives), will <br />then be tabulated, and will be considered by the Ramsey City Council at 7:00 p.m. on <br />Tuesday, June 10, 1997 in the Council Chambers. Any bidder whose responsibility is <br />questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the <br />Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed <br />with the City Administrator and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond <br />or certified check payable to the City of Ramsey for five (5) percent of the amount of <br />such bid. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Beyer, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Beahen <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
