Councilmember Haas Steffen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #97-06-162 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING RAMSEY LIONS CLUB APPLICATION FOR PREMISE <br />PERMITS FOR LAWFUL GAMBLING AT SUPER BOWL, M&L LIQUOR, AND <br />LIGHTHOUSE GRILLE & BAR IN RAMSEY <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey Lions Club has applied for a premise permits for gambling at <br />Holm's Super Bowl, 6720-138th Ave. NW; M&L Liquor, 5900-167th Ave. NW; Lighthouse <br />Grille & Bar, 6937 Hwy 10 NW, Ramsey; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey Lions Club provides opportunities and services to the residents <br />of Ramsey with monies derived from lawful gambling operations; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey Lions Club has requested Council waive the 30-day notice <br />provision; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Gambling Control Board Division of the Department of Gaming <br />requires the City of Ramsey adopt a resolution specifically approving or denying the application. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves the premise permit application for the <br />Ramsey Lions Club to operate lawful gambling at Holm's Super Bowl, 6720-138th Ave. <br />NW; M&L Liquor, 5900-167th Ave. NW; Lighthouse Grille & Bar, 6937 Hwy 10 NW, <br />Ramsey. <br /> <br />2) That the Ramsey City Council agrees to waive the 30-day notice provision. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the City Administrator or Finance <br />Officer to sign the application and any other documents required by the Minnesota <br />Gambling Control Board. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Zimmerman and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor.
