Councilmember Beahen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #9%07-168 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING 2ND PARTIAL PAYMENT TO W. B. MILLER, INC. FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS #96-23 (MCKINLEY STREET TO COMMERCIAL <br />ASPHALT) AND #97-19 (UTILITY AND STREET IMPROVEMENTS TO AZURITE <br />STREET) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council approved Improvement Project #96-23 on July <br />23, 1996; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on April 8, 1997, the Ramsey City Council adopted Resolution #97-04-070, <br />awarding the bid to W. B. Miller, Inc. for the construction of McKinley Street to the Commercial <br />Asphalt property (Improvement Project #96-23); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on May 27, 1997, the Ramsey City Council adopted Resolution #97-05-140 <br />awarding Improvement Project #97-19 to W.B. Miller, Inc. as a Change Order to Improvement <br />Project #96-23; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Engineer Steve Jankowski has inspected the completed work and <br />recommends partial payment to W. B. Miller, Inc. in the amount of $81,644.32. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Council hereby authorizes partial payment to W. B. Miller, Inc. for the <br />construction of McKinley Street and Azurite Street (Improvement Projects #96-23 and <br />#97-19) in the amount of $81,644.32. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor or City <br />Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of <br />bills for the month of July 1997. <br /> <br />4) That the City of Ramsey Finance Department be provided a signed copy of this <br /> resolution. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Zimmerman, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Beahen <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br /> <br />
