Councilmember Beahen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #97-07-169 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING 5TH PARTIAL PAYMENT TO M.C. MAGNEY <br />CONSTRUCTION, INC. FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #96-22 (CONSTRUCTION <br />OF PUMP HOUSE AND CONNECTING WATERMAIN FOR WELL NO. 3) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Ramsey approved this project on February <br />13, 1996; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on November 12, 1996, the City Council of the City of Ramsey adopted <br />Resolution #96-11-324 awarding the bid to M.C. Magney Construction, Inc. for the construction <br />of a pump house and connecting watermain for Well No. 3 (Improvement Project #96-22); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, previous payments have been made to M.C. Magney Construction, Inc. for <br />Improvement Project #96-22 in the amount of $244,625.00; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Engineer Steve Jankowski has inspected the completed work and <br />recommends partial payment to M.C. Magney Construction, Inc. in the amount of $13,972.93. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Council hereby authorizes partial payment to M.C. Magney Construction, <br />Inc. for the construction of a pump house and connecting watermain for Well No. 3 <br />(Improvement Project #96-22) in the amount of $13,972.93. <br /> <br />2) That the City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor or City <br /> Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of <br />bills for the month of July 1997. <br /> <br />4) That the City of Ramsey Finance Department be provided a signed copy of this <br /> resolution. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Zimmerman, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Beahen <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> <br />
