Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #97-07-174 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDING OF FACT #0431 RELATING TO A REQUEST <br />FROM GARY AND LINDA GRINDE FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO <br />EXCEED THE MAXIMUM ACCESSORY STRUCTURE SPACE ALLOWED ON <br />PARCELS LESS THAN ONE ACRE IN SIZE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey received an application from Gary and Linda Grinde for <br />a conditional use permit to exceed the maximum accessory structure space allowed on the <br />property generally known as 5655 148th Lane NW and legally described as follows: <br /> <br />The East 171.00 feet of the West 343.74 feet of all that part of the Northeast Quarter of <br />the Northeast Quarter of Section 26, Township 32, Range 25, Anoka County, Minnesota, <br />described as follows: Beginning at a point being the intersection of the North line of said <br />Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter with the center line of County Road No. 5, <br />also known as Nowthen Road [Boulevard], said point being 440.00 feet West of the <br />Northeast comer of said Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter; thence West on said <br />North line of Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter a distance of 507.00 feet; thence <br />South at right angles 228.00 feet; thence East and parallel with said North line of <br />Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter a distance of 640.20 feet to said center line of <br />County Road No. 5; thence North 30 degrees 15 minutes West 265.00 feet to the point of <br />beginning. <br /> <br />(the "Subject Property") <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA that the findings of fact relating <br />to the request are determined to be as follows: <br /> <br />That on June 4, 1997, Gary and Linda Grinde, hereinafter referred to as "Applicants", <br />properly applied for a conditional use permit to exceed the total allowable accessory <br />structure space on parcels one acre or less in size. <br /> <br />That the applicant appeared before the Ramsey Planning Commission for a public hearing <br />pursuant to Section 9.03.04 of the City Code on July 1, 1997, and that said public heating <br />was properly advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby <br />incorporated as a part of these findings by reference. <br /> <br />That the Subject Property and surrounding parcels are zoned R-1 Residential except for <br />the adjacent parcel to the north which is zoned R-3 Urban Residential and is occupied by <br />the Ramsey Elementary School. <br /> <br />4. That the Subject Property is .9 acres in size. <br /> <br /> <br />
