Councilmember Beahen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #97-07-181 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #97-18 <br />EXTENSION TO ALPINE ADDITION) <br /> <br /> AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR <br />(SANITARY SEWER AND WATERMAIN <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to a motion passed by the Ramsey City Council on February 25, <br />1997, Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc., the Consulting Engineer, prepared contract <br />documents and specifications for the sanitary sewer and watermain extension to service the <br />Alpine Addition; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the sanitary sewer and watermain <br />extension to service the Alpine Addition, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to <br />law at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 18, 1997; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the following quotes were received: <br /> <br />Bidder Amount of Bid <br /> <br />C.W. Houle, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with C.W. Houle, Inc. in the name of the City of Ramsey for the the construction <br />of the sanitary sewer and watermain extension to service the Alpine Addition in the <br />amount of 168,700.00. <br /> <br /> <br />
