Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #97~07-183 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DIRECTING THAT TItE CITY OF RAMSEY MAKE APPLICATION <br />FOR FUNDING ASSISTANCE FOR THE 1998 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has directed that a new Comprehensive Planning <br />process commence; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council has, by motion, directed that the funding sources <br />at the Metropolitan Council be pursued to provide for this planning process; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has provisions for planning assistance in a grant <br />and loan program which can be utilized toward this effort. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the City Administrator be directed to request a Planning Assistance Grant in the <br /> amount of $20,000 and a Planning Assistance Loan in the amount of the balance of the <br /> funding gap between the grant award and the total project cost. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Beahen, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Gamec <br /> Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> Councilmember Beahen <br /> Councilmember Beyer <br /> Councilmember Haas Steffen <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br /> <br />
