Councilmember Musgrove introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #24-194 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGE ORDER#1 TO AET PROPOSAL P-0021454 <br /> FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #21-09, CENTRALIZED WATER TREATMENT <br /> PLANT <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution 423-061 adopted March 28, <br /> 2023, a contract was awarded to Magney Construction, Inc. in the amount of$31,528,500.00 for <br /> construction of a centralized Water Treatment Plant and an amendment was accepted from <br /> Advanced Engineering and Environmental Services (AE2S) in the amount of $225,100.00 for <br /> additional construction phase services for the Water Treatment Plant, and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution 423-073 adopted April 25, <br /> 2023, Proposal No. P-0021454 from American Engineering Testing, Inc. (AET) was approved at <br /> an estimated cost of $35,335.00 to perform special inspections and construction testing services <br /> for the centralized Water Treatment Plant, including concrete testing at the rate of 1 test per every <br /> 50 cubic yards of concrete; and <br /> WHEREAS, AET submitted Change Order 41 to Proposal No. P-0021454 requesting an <br /> additional budget of$15,310.00 for concrete testing services for the centralized Water Treatment <br /> Plant to supplement their original incorrect estimate costs based on 1 test per every 100 cubic yards <br /> of concrete poured instead of 1 test per every 50 cubic yards of concrete poured as specified in <br /> AET Proposal No. P-0021454. <br /> NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> 1) The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to execute Change Order 41 to <br /> AET Proposal No. P-0021454 at an estimated cost of$15,310.00 for and on behalf of the <br /> City of Ramsey. <br /> The motion of the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> Howell, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> Mayor Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Musgrove <br /> Councilmember Howell <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Specht <br /> Councilmember Woestehoff <br /> and the following voted against the same: <br /> None <br />
