Councilmember Musgrove introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION#24-209 RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. 2 TO NORTHDALE CONSTRUCTION FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #21-08, WATER TREATMENT PLANT TRUNK WATERMAIN IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution 423-305 adopted November 28, 2023, a construction contract was awarded to Northdale Construction Co. Inc., of Albertville, Minnesota, in the amount of$6,671,414.00 for said improvements; and WHEREAS, during construction, field changes were required to various existing and proposed watermain lines at the intersection of 143rd Avenue and County Road 56 / Ransey Boulevard to avoid directional drilling under County Road 56 / Ransey Boulevard under traffic; and WHEREAS, during construction, field changes will be required to convert 143rd Avenue from a 7-ton design to a 9-ton design to meet State Aid standards; and WHEREAS, Change Order No. 2 documents the required field changes completed and required by Northdale Construction for improvement project 421-08, WTP Trunk Watermain Improvements, in the amount of$141,608.93. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) The City Council hereby approves Change Order No. 2 to Northdale Construction of Albertville, Minnesota for Improvement Project 421-08, WTP Trunk Watermain Improvement in the amount of$141,608.93. 2) The City Council hereby authorizes and directs the City Administrator to sign Change Order No. 2 on behalf of the City of Ramsey. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Howell, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Kuzma Councilmember Musgrove Councilmember Howell Councilmember Riley Councilmember Specht Councilmember Woestehoff
