Board Member Bawden introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #97-08-186 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT #0436 RELATING TO A REQUEST <br />FROM ROLAND RING-JARVI FOR A VARIANCE TO CONSTRUCT AN <br />ACCESSORY STRUCTURE NEARER THE FRONT PROPERTY LINE THAN THE <br />PRINCIPAL STRUCTURE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Roland Ring-Jarvi, hereinafter referred to as "Applicant," has properly <br />applied for a Board of Adjustment variance from Section 9.11.02 of the Ramsey City Code to <br />construct an accessory structure nearer the front property line than the principal structure on the <br />property generally known as 14260 Bowers Drive NW and legally described as follows: <br /> <br />Lot 5, Block 1, Bower's Mississippi Acres 3rd Addition, Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> <br />(the "Subject Property"). <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />That the Applicant appeared before the Board of Adjustment for a public hearing pursuant <br />to Section 9.03.05 of the Ramsey City Code on August 5, 1997, and that said public <br />hearing was properly advertised, and that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby <br />incorporated as a part of these findings by reference. <br /> <br />That the Subject Property is zoned R-1 Rural Residential and is approximately 1.5 acres in <br />size. <br /> <br />3. That the Subject Property is surrounded by R-1 Rural Residential zoning. <br /> <br />That Section 9.11.02 of the Ramsey City Code does not permit the construction of <br />accessory structures nearer the front property line than the principal structure. <br /> <br />That Section 9.21 of City Code establishes a structure setback of 200 feet from the <br />Ordinary High Water (OHW) mark of the Mississippi River. <br /> <br />That the principal structure on the Subject Property is located approximately 179 feet from <br />the front property line and 75 feet from the OHW mark of the Mississippi River. <br /> <br />That the Applicant is proposing to construct a 24'x35' accessory structure on the Subject <br />Property that will be approximately 150 feet from the front property line and 115 feet from <br />the OHW mark of the Mississippi River. <br /> <br /> <br />
