Councilmember Haas Steffen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #97-08-196 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE <br />DEVELOPMENT OF BUSINESS PARK 95 SIXTH ADDITION (IMPROVEMENT <br />PROJECT #97-23) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on July 22, 1997, the Ramsey City Council authorized the solicitation of <br />bids from three engineering firms who have been used on similar projects in the recent past; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the following quotes were received: <br /> <br />Hakanson <br />Anderson <br /> <br />John Oliver <br />& Associates <br /> <br />Howard R. <br />Green (MSA) <br /> <br />Basic Engineering Services <br />(not to exceed) <br /> <br />8,950 15,840 19,750 <br /> <br />Technical Services <br />(budget estimate) <br /> <br />20,900 23,700 30,965* <br /> <br />Soil/Boring/Material Testing <br />(budget estimate) <br /> <br />2,500 3,000 2,500 <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, it appears that Hakanson Anderson, Inc. has submitted the lowest not- <br />to-exceed bid for basic engineering services. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with Hakanson Anderson, Inc. in the name of the City of Ramsey for engineering <br />services for the development of the Business Park 95 Sixth Addition (Improvement <br />Project #97-23) in the not-to-exceed amount of $8,950 for basic engineering services. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Beyer, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Haas Steffen <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Beahen <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br /> <br />
